Allan Hutensky serves as a consultant to all Funds and THG. He has been a leader in the shopping center industry in a career that spans over six decades. He has been directly responsible for the development of more than 200 retail and commercial real estate projects in more than 25 states and was the developer in 1984 of CityPlace, a 1.2 million square foot office building that is Connecticut’s tallest.

Mr. Hutensky has a reputation as a successful but pragmatic negotiator who has long-standing relationships with top management at retailers around the country. Combining a legal background with years of experience, Mr. Hutensky focuses mainly on shopping center development, finance and acquisition, and the negotiation of anchor leases.

A graduate of the University of Connecticut with B.A. and a J.D. degrees, Mr. Hutensky was a partner at several Hartford area law firms prior to co-founding The Hutensky Group’s predecessor, Bronson and Hutensky, in 1979. He has been active in the ICSC and ULI for many years and has been a trustee or member of the board of directors of many of Greater Hartford’s educational and arts organizations.
